Narrative X Dark Arts: Handicapped Latte Art Smackdown This is not a normal comp. We’re throwing 16 competitors behind the bar with one simple task: pour the best latte art they can… but there’s a catch. No standard milk pitchers. You’ll be working with whatever we hand you. Teapots, vases, whisky decanters, and other questionable vessels. Skill, adaptability, and a bit of chaos will decide who comes out on top. Whether you’re stepping up to compete or just coming to watch things unravel, expect a loud, messy, and very fun evening celebrating coffee in its most unhinged form. Cape Town-born pianist/composer Phillip Clouts’ South African roots have inspired a voyage of discovery that has led to him soaking up the joyful passion of Caribbean calypso, the bluesy melodies of middle eastern praise songs, the exuberant sway of Cuban dance music and the tuneful essence of Gospel while honouring jazz heroes including Bill Evans, Keith Jarrett, and Charles Lloyd.

CARAD is delighted to be hosting a multiple award-winning show that has been performed from Dublin to Dubai, and from Broadway to Antarctica and won critical acclaim. Discovering Antarctica: heroic tales of explorers Shackleton, Crean and Scott, written and performed by Adrian Dooley. The play takes you to the edge of your seat and beyond as it re-enacts many of the era's heroic endeavours. Bar and refreshments This is a CARAD fundraiser and proceeds will support our community projects.
Tom Crean, the intrepid Antarctic explorer and one of Ireland's unsung heroes, is brought to life in this dramatic, enthralling and entertaining piece by Adrian Dooley. He shares the riveting stories of the only man who served alongside Scott and Shackleton in three of the most daring expeditions to the great white continent, including Shackleton's ill-fated Endurance expedition. This includes Crean's infamous 36 mile solitary trek during the Terra Nova expedition to rescue his comrades - described by by Anarctic historians as 'The finest feat of individual heroism from the entire age of exploration.' Crean's story is a testament of human fortitude against all the elements of Antarctica. Refreshments and bar available.

USA born but Wales based songwriter, author, printmaker and“high priest of country cool” (Rolling Stone) Jeb Loy Nichols, returns in Spring 2026 with his new album ‘You Know Where I Live’, an inspiring collection of new material produced by longtime collaborator Clovis Phillips, who will join him for the shows.

A collaboration born out of friendship between Wales based American roots singer songwriter Jeb Loy Nichols and multi-instrumentalist and producer Clovis Phillips, who accompanies with an array of instruments including guitar and mandolin. Their unity is evident with instruments effortlessly complimenting the vocals and vice versa. Expect an inviting night of soulful music that feels like a conversation among friends.

Singer and multi-instrumentalist Liz Ikamba (British/Congolese DR heritage) joins forces with Senegalese virtuoso percussionist Amadou Diagne for a rhythm-rich, soul-lifting live show. Expect infectious grooves, soaring vocals, and electrifying interplay as this dynamic duo blend African rhythms, global influences and heartfelt songwriting.

For this very special performance, they’ll be joined by The Lost ARC Scratch Choir, adding layered harmonies and an exciting communal energy to part of the set.
