TRYSOR will lead this 2.5 mile walk from the layby at Blaenycwm to Cistfaen, visiting some of the best prehistoric sites in the area. A moderate to hard walk, mostly on a footpath. Meet at the Dyfed Powys border car park SN 853758.

Discover this forgotten rug making technique with Rosemary Stow, one of the few practitioners of this craft in the UK.

As with all rag rug making techniques, standing wool uses upcycled materials - specifically boiled wool. All tools and materials will be provided but, if you have any wool jumpers or scarves that have shrunk in the wash please bring them along.

At the end of the workshop you will have made a couple of coasters and/ or a trivet which could also form the centre of a rug should you wish to continue with this craft.

The workshop runs from 10am to 4pm with a break at 1pm for a lunch of soup and bread.
