A 4 mile guided walk to learn about the area, including Nant y Gro Dam - used for tests before the WW2 Dambusters Raid

A 4 mile guided walk to learn about the area, including the remains of Nant y Gro Dam which was used for tests before the WW2 Dambusters Raid.

There is a steep climb of 40 metres up the steps to the top of the dam and then a very steep 140 metre climb.

Meet at the Elan Valley Visitor Centre at 2pm, back about 5pm.

Chris will lead a moderate 6 mile walk which starts along Garreg Ddu to Tynllidiart before climbing steeply to Moelfryn, then across rough ground to Nant Brythgwm, crossing the dam and returning along the Elan Valley Trail. No dogs allowed. Meet at Penbont car park.

Ladies, come and enjoy mountain biking with an introductory coaching session and ride with local Breeze Champion, Pippa Boss. Includes a short coaching session and a ride over Cefn Hill and along the river Wye. Bring water and snacks and a spare tube for your bike

Helmets essential, wear appropriate clothing and bring a raincoat just in case. Ride starts from outside the Visitors Centre, where you can hire bikes.
