A programme of walks on Sunday mornings, arranged by an informal walking group. There are no fees or membership requirements. People joining walks do so at their own risk, with no responsibility being attached to any other individual or the group as a whole. It is suggested that walkers carry food and drink and wear footwear and clothing appropriate to the terrain and the season. Leaders reserve the right to exclude walkers they do not judge capable of safely completing the walk from joining the group for whatever reason. For all walks, except where stated differently, please meet at the Leisure Centre Car Park at least 5 minutes before the starting time. Dogs must be kept under close control at all times. Routes alter if weather general conditions are inclement or for any other reason at the leader’s discretion. For queries concerning individual walks, please contact the walk leader. The Mid Wales Heritage Hunt map is a handy guide to places you might enjoy visiting if you want to find out more about Rhayader and Mid Wales, like history or stories. Hard copies are available from most venues, with TimeScape Rhayader and Quillies in Rhayader having some available in the shop.

The Rhayader Dragon Festival is back for another year, featuring all kinds of family friendly activities, dragon-themed food and drink, music and more across the town. CARAD and TimeScape (Rhayader's very own 'museum with a twist') will also be hosting a whole range of things to do and see throughout the half term week, so if you've never visited before, now's the perfect opportunity! Experience Spooky Dam Open Days on Wednesday 29 and Thursday 30 October. Walk through Penbont Woods, enter Pen y Garreg Dam and claim your Halloween reward on the central platform. The dam will be filled with spooky decorations, sounds, and surprises. Rhayader the Puppet Musical is a hands-on, hilarious creative get together where everyone can help create a new hit musical.

Be prepared to be taken on a fast, fun-filled journey to the story of Rhayader. You'll get to make a paper puppet character who will appear in a unique musical show that celebrates where we live! • Join creative duo Ekleido for a mesmerising dance experience featuring original music by world-renowned electronic musician Floating Points. Opening the programme is Ekleido’s critically acclaimed Splice in which two dancers find the balance between limitation and possibility to solve a physical puzzle. Completing the evening is Rorschach, a trio that reimagines the iconic Rorschach inkblot test. In this work, we encounter a future society where individuals are subjected to a mandatory Rorschach trial—a journey of self-revelation and survival where participants confront psychological endurance, moral compass, and physical limitations. The movement language blends vocabularies combining contemporary dance and street dance including New Way Voguing, Threading and Bonebreaking.
