Objectives of the Organisation:
Rhayader Chamber of Trade was formed in 1997 for ‘The improvement and promotion of Rhayader and District for the benefit of trade and commerce’.

Our ethos:
We aim to bring all people with business concerns together to work collectively, to achieve positive improvements in the business culture of Rhayader and to strengthen the Mid-Wales region.

Rhayader Chamber of Trade exists to help and assist all businesses in the area to thrive and flourish.  The group is keen to include all types of business in its membership.  It believes that this will help sustain a vibrant Chamber of Trade and will in turn produce a healthy and sucessful local economy.

Meetings:
Meetings are held at The Brynafon Hotel, South Street on the 2nd Monday of the month, starting at 7.30pm.

Our meetings are informal and usually end with a chat over a few drinks.

Many of our meetings feature guest speakers, who talk on topics relating to business matters. Recent speakers have included town and county councillors, trade waste advisors, health & safety advisors and fire prevention officers.

We lobby the Town Council and Powys County Council on matters of relevance.

We work with other community groups, such as CARAD, Rhayader Carnival and Rhayader 2000 Ltd, to support their projects and can offer a small amount of financial assistance to help these groups.
