A 4 mile guided walk to learn about the area, including the remains of Nant y Gro Dam which was used for tests before the WW2 Dambusters Raid.

There is a steep climb of 40 metres up the steps to the top of the dam and then a very steep 140 metre climb. Meet at the Visitor Centre at 10am, back about 1pm.

Join Sorcha Lewis for a morning winter walk in the beautiful Elan Valley

Part of the Festival of Winter walks join Sorcha Lewis for a stroll up through the woods onto the open hill to see the superb views of the Elan Valley from this aspect. Sorcha will be able to share knowledge of the wildlife and farming through the ages within this unique area of Mid Wales.
This walk is approximately 5.5 kilometres with a gradual climb at the start. Bring winter picnic.

Take a tour of the Solar System with Martin Nelmes from the University of Aberystwyth. We will try to put the Solar System into perspective and present some interesting facts about various moons and planets. Plus we will cover some of the recent research by planetary scientists and what it tells us about the Solar System.
